Roadmap

CATE 0.1 - February 2006

This is the first release of the CATE software and intends to implement very basic functionality: Displaying data, searching for taxa by name, and basic security.

CATE 0.2 - April 2007

The second release of the CATE software will implement more advanced features for accessing information within the consensus classification: searching for taxa within a geographical region, using keys, and accessing ancillary information about the revision such as the glossary and the acknowlegements.

CATE 0.3 - August 2007

The third release of CATE will implement functionality for contributions to the CATE site. Registered users will be able to contribute images, specimen records, and observations to the site.

CATE 0.4 - December 2007

The fourth release will implement the basic versioning functionality in preparation for submitting proposals in iteration five.

CATE 0.5 - March 2007

The fifth release will allow users to submit basic proposal to add child taxa and to add or edit textual data on the site.

CATE 0.6 - June 2008

The sixth release will implement the review process. This will include functionality for creating and alocating tasks for members of the editorial team.

CATE 0.7 - September 2008

The sixth release will allow editors to publish a revision. At this stage the data in each revision will be "live" and dynamic.
